The Nuevo Tango Ensamble was founded in 1999 in order to celebrate Astor Piazzolla`s music. The members of trio are Pasquale Stafano on piano, Gianni Iorio on bandoneon, Alessandro Terlizzi on bass. The trio have been presenting the project of tango-jazz in which Piazzolla’s composition, tango songs and own compositions are played with jazz improvisations. They performed in all Europe and in 2008 also in Arab Emirates. The trio already worked with international well-known musicians as argentinian saxophone player Javier Girotto, italian clarinet player Gabriele Mirabassi and argentinian bandoneon player Gustavo Toker. They did three album: Astor's Mood - 2002 (Realsound Records), A Night in Vienna for Astor Piazzolla - live 2005 (Philology Records), Tango Mediterraneo - 2008 (Jazzhaus Records.
