Español: Ferrocarril FCAB cruzando el trayecto de 35 km en la parte oeste del salar de Ascotán, suroeste de Bolivia. El ferrocarril cubre la ruta Antofagasta - Calama - Ollagüe - Uyuni - La Paz, desde una altura de 0 metros sobre el nivel del mar en la ciudad costera de Antofagasta hasta 4,500 m en la área en la que se tomó la imagen (exactamente en Collahuasi) y tiene una longitud total de 1,537. Las locomotoras tienen motores EMD GT22CU-3 2406, Clyde GL26C-2 2009 y Clyde GL26C-2 2004, mientras que el salar de Ascotán tiene una superficie de 246 km².
English: FCAB railway crossing the 35 kilometers (22 mi) long route over the west side of the Ascotán salt flat, southwestern Bolivia. The train covers the route Antofagasta - Calama - Ollagüe - Uyuni - La Paz, from 0 metres over the sea level in the coastal city of Antofagasta to over 4,500 metres (14,800 ft) in the area where the picture was taken (exactly in Collahuasi) and has a total length of 1,537 km (955 mi). The locomotives have engines EMD GT22CU-3 2406, Clyde GL26C-2 2009 and Clyde GL26C-2 2004 whereas the Ascotán salt flat has a surface of 246 square kilometers (95 sq mi).

Salar de Ascotán) o powierzchni 246 km² położonego w południowo-zachodniej Boliwii. Pociągi obsługują trasę Antofagasta – Calama – Ollagüe – Uyuni – La Paz o długości 1537 km, od 40 m n.p.m. w portowym mieście Antofagasta do 4815 m n.p.m. w miejscu, w którym zrobiono zdjęcie (Collahuasi). Widoczny na zdjęciu pociąg ciągnie lokomotywa EMD GT22CU-3 2406 oraz dwie lokomotywy Clyde Engineering GL26C-2 o numerach 2004 i 2009.
